Dramatic Burgundy & Teal Eye Look

Hey guys!

Today I am going to show you how I got this dramatic makeup look using all MUG (Makeup Geek) eyeshadows but of course you can use whatever ones you have.
This look is mostly just for fun but if you like seeing these kinds of posts please let me know and I will do more :)

First of all I'm starting off by priming my eyelids using NP Set Eye Primer all over the lid and just under my lower lash line.

Next I pat a small amount of Bobbi Brown concealer in the shade Porcelain all around the eye and lid to conceal any darkness.

Then I applied the eyeshadow Vanilla Bean all over the lid and in the crease to make blending out the other colours I use easier.

Then take the colour Peacock on a small brush and draw a line just above the crease from inner to outer corner and wing it up and out towards the tail of the eyebrow.

Using a fluffy crease brush blend the edges up towards the brow bone.

Go back in with Peacock and deepen up the line above the crease then using Shark Bait blend out the edges of Peacock towards the brow bone.

Next, take Burlesque on a flat shader brush and pat all over the lid up to the crease bringing it into the inner corner and also winging it out under where I put the blue.

Then take Currupt on a angled brush and create a large V shape on the outer part of the eye, this doesn't need to be too neat as it will get blended out. Also push some into the outer third of the top lash line.

With a fluffy brush blend out the harsh edges of the black shadow and bring it slightly into the crease. Using a cotton pad with makeup remover clean up any fall out and fix up the wing.

Then you can fill in your brows and put on the rest of your makeup.
Add White Lies as a brow highlight blending it in with the blues.
Go back in and deepen up all the colours until you're happy with  how it looks.
Taking the colours Mermaid and Poolside blend under the lower lash line making it thickest under the center of the eye.

Taking Corrupt again connect the wing with Mermaid on the outer part of the lower lash line also pushing it into the upper and lower waterline and creating a V shape on the inner corner.

Apply mascara to the top and bottom lashes I used NP Set Glamorista mascara.

Then to finish the look off I added some Vanilla bean and Ice Queen on the tear duct as a highlight and added some false lashes, I used Ardell Demi Wispies.

The finished look

'Get Ready With Me' 10 Minute Makeup & Hair!

Hey guys!

This fortnights post is on my go-to, speedy makeup look and the products I use to save time when I'm in a rush to get ready but still want to look like I put in some effort.
I hope you enjoy! :)

My favourite products to use when I'm in a rush!

Before
After

Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo

First of all I grab my dry shampoo and spray it on the roots of my hair then put it up in a bun while I do my makeup to give it time to do it's job and soak up any excess oil and add volume.
Chi Chi Super BB Cream in Medium
Next I apply a BB cream. I use my fingers for this because I find it faster and works better than a brush. I have been loving this Chi Chi one lately! It gives decent coverage, smells and feels amazing, has loads of skin benefits and helps keep my dry skin feeling hydrated all day.

Garnier Roll On Anti-Dark Circle under eye concealer
These roll on under eye concealers are amazing, especially when you are trying to save time. Just roll it on and pat into your skin with your fingers then your done! This Garnier one is great if you get puffy eyes like me :(

Rimmel Silky Loose Transparent Face Powder
I have dry skin so I just like to set under my eyes with some translucent powder to keep my concealer from creasing. This one is my favourite!

Essence Silky Touch Blush 'Secret It-Girl'
On days when I'm rushing I don't bother contouring but i can't go without blush or my skin looks rather flat. I have been reaching for this Essence blush everyday since I bought it, it just gives such a nice healthy, glowing look to my skin.

Australis Tint My Brow in 'Blonde'
I recently picked up this brow tint for half price in blonde it was the only colour left so it is a bit light for my brows but it works so well that I use it anyway lol and again it is super quick to use and keeps my brows in place all day.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in 'Barely Branded'
To make my eyes look more open and awake I like to put on a bit of a light coloured creme eyeshadow and just blend it onto the lids and inner corner with my finger.

Brows and eyeshadow done

Rimmel Lash Curler
Personally, I can't go without curling my lashes just because as you can see they grow straight out and make my eyes look smaller. I find that curling the entire length of my lashes looks better and holds longer than if I just curl near the base of the lashes.

Curling your lashes makes such a difference!

NP Set Glamorista Mascara
For mascara I'm really loving this NP one. The wand works amazing for separating my lashes and you don't get loads of product on the brush even when you first open it which is a bonus because you don't get clumpy lashes or waste loads of product.

Essence lip liners in Satin Mauve and Wish Me a Rose
You seriously can't go wrong with these lip liners! They are creamy, pigmented, long lasting and only cost $1.80 each from Target! Here I used Satin Mauve all over and then Wish Me a Rose just on the center of my lips to make them appear fuller as it's a lighter colour.

Finishing touch!

Last of all I take down my hair and scrunch it around until it looks decent.
Adding in some accessories makes me look a bit more put together and I am absolutely loving these gorgeous earrings from eb&ive which where a present from my lovely sister in law and brother (thanks guys if you read this! ;) )
